About Us

Richard’s Grandparents and their children came to stay here at ‘Mount Pleasant Farm’ in the 1920’s in their touring caravan. The Cundall family who farmed ‘Mount Pleasant Farm’, were beginning to diversify allowing camping and caravans onto their land for holidays.

During the 2nd World War – Richard's Great Aunt, came to live at the farm as a ‘Land Girl’ and fell in love with the place and its people, and they with her, so she never left!

So began our family's association with the village, and Mount Pleasant in particular; which has now seen four generations come to live here.

Great Aunt has now been here for 64 years, and over the past 11 years we have found ourselves considering , as the Cundall’s did before us, ways to diversify and use the natural beauty of the area. Realising that the Holiday Business has moved on from basic camping we’ve installed a Scandinavian Log Cabin in the most peaceful and scenic part of our land for you to come and enjoy for your holidays.
