Orchard Lodge York is in a unique setting in the rural fringe of the City of York, allowing you to enjoy both the unspoilt nature of the Vale of York and the fabulous attractions of the ancient centre of York only 4 miles away
This Scandinavian log cabin offers a high specification with a double and a twin bedroom, both en-suite (bathroom and shower-room). There is also a double sofa/bed in the lounge, allowing 6 people to stay in the cabin comfortably.
The open plan kitchen, dining room and lounge have been designed for comfort and relaxation. The kitchen includes a dishwasher, washer/dryer, microwave and fridge, along with the usual amenities. The lounge area has a wall mounted flat screen TV with Freeview, a DVD Player, Playstation 2, and free WiFi . The dining room has Pine dining furniture (6 places), and opens out onto the covered, decked veranda.
The ¼ acre of orchard in which the log cabin is located, has a BBQ and garden furniture, for those who enjoy 'Alfresco'. All Linen and towels are included.
Energy
The cabin is both energy efficient and well insulated, therefore we are open all year round as is York and its many attractions. Central heating and Hot Water are available 24 hours a day via the combi boiler, using LPG.
Our electricity is from Good Energy, a 100% renewable electricity supplier, who achieve this entirely from wind, small-scale hydro, wave, solar power and sustainable biomass.
